Don’t get me wrong, I have some issues with Jon Stewart from time to time.  But it thrills me to see him skewer the idiots who influence far too many people.  This bit from a couple of nights ago just cracks me up:

“So I tried to post this on your blog, but failed.  I got a login id, but it wouldn’t accept it.  Don’t know.  Anyway . . . I get disliking political pundits, but I have to object to the clip as I know that at least in the case of Bill O’Reilly, the clips were taken out of context.  I know because I regularly watch the show and I make my decisions regarding him based on watching him and listening to him on an almost daily basis.  At the very least in that montage, I counted several jumps in editing where poor Bill was concerned.  Yes, I get it.  It is a comedy show.  But the number of people who get their news from these comedy shows is on the rise and this is what they see of Palin and O’Reilly.  Don’t worry, I don’t plan on defending Rove.  :-)  But I’m glad it made you laugh.”
